Clean of truck air conditioner is usually be done on air filter, pipeline, and evaporator. Air filter and pipeline could be easily cleaned by drivers. As for evaporator, it must be disassembled before cleaning and asking professionals for help is advised to prevent possible interior damage.

1. Filter cartridge cleaning and replace

Usual lifespan of filter cartridge is one year, if you driving environment is harsh or suffering stormy weather, filter cartridge needs to be cleaned and replaced on time to keep the air in cab is fresh and extend the lifespan of filter cartridge.Find position of filter cartridge is the first step of truck air conditioner filter cleaning. The position of which is different depends on different vehicles and using manual for reference is advised.Tips: Filter could not be washed with water. It could be cleaned by blower from inside to outside. Installation shall depend on arrow tip to prevent install backwardly, otherwise dust may be blow into the cab.

2. Pipeline cleaning

Pipeline shall be cleaned with specific detergent. Detergent shall be shook well before using and the attached tube shall be applied while using. And then turn the air volume to maximum and enable outer circulation function. The compressor shall not be open.Tips: Keep the tube for detergent away from air blower in case of stir into it. After complete cleaning, keep outer circulation function run for 10 minutes. When engine off, detergent foam will turn into liquid and flow out of vehicles.

3. Evaporator cleaning

Truck air conditioner would be disassembled before pipeline and evaporator cleaning. For security, ask professionals for help is advised.Environment, traffic condition and deposited dust may cause vent blocking and affect cooling. So regular cleaning of filter cartridge and pipeline should be paid attention to by users. On condition abnormal odor still exist after cleaning, evaporator shall be cleaned. Usually, evaporator needs to be cleaned if service life of which is above 5 years.
